Littlelamb new organic cotton reusable nappies are the best quality shaped nappies you can buy. Knitted from the highest quality organic cotton yarn onto a fine poly mesh base ensures a completely shrink proof but baby-soft silky nappy with maximum absorption.
The bamboo nappies are what has made Littlelamb famous in the na[ppy world- that and our great value kits. We were the first to discover that bamboo was one of the most absorbent fibres to use but when woven and made into nappies we found that it does have a tendancy to shrink. Nick searched far and wide and found a factory that would knit the fibre into our fabric, thus creating a non-shrink, non-pull bamboo nappy.
The fit has been altered again and again until we now think we have the best fitting nappy on the market. Having six babies in washables means that we know what to look for. The leg has to be tight enough to prevent leaks but not too tight to create any chaffing. We use the softest elastic that is gentle on baby’s skin but is robust enough to last. We do not offer a re-elasticating service, as we have no need. The nappy is designed to stand up to wear and tear you wouldn’t believe a baby capable of. The leg has a shaped gusset to allow for freedom of movement. The back seam is gently elasticated to prevent any nappy explosions and the front has cross over tabs to grow with your babies ever changing shape. The bottom is slightly deeper than many other brands as a nappy cannot do it's job properly if baby has a "builders bottom” and the front does not gape but fits snuggly.
You see, by using a fine microfibre for the inside of the nappy (where baby sits) it allows moisture to be drawn away from the skin. This also allows for the nappy to “spin out” in the washing machine as many real nappies will take an age to dry. We added a double layer of cotton booster that is loose in the size 1 nappies and sewn into the size 2’s. This is to prevent the nappy becoming too bulky for tiny babie’s. It also ensures that the nappy remains as slim as possible giving your baby total freedom no matter if he is newborn and just wriggling in your arms or toddling across the room!
Littlelamb wraps are designed to fit perfectly over Littlelamb reusable nappies. With added side gussets and cross-over waist tabs they just can't be beaten. Made from a baby-soft polyester knit they're waterproof yet breathable.
How do they work? The inside of the wrap is covered with a laminate skin bonded in place. The skin looks like a honeycomb under a microscope with the spaces big enough to allow the smaller air molecules to pass through but small enough to stop the larger fluid molecules. Warm air can escape, reducing the temperature inside, whilst keeping the wetness inside.
Littlelamb wraps also have gently elasticated waist and thighs, as do the nappies, so there are two barriers to stop possible escapees. It's unheard of on a two-part nappy system to have those poo-up-to-the-neck explosions!

Choosing the correct fabric for your lifestyle is essential for you and your baby.
ORGANIC COTTON NAPPIES are the great all rounder. They're robust, will last longer and they have good absorption.
BAMBOO NAPPIES are more absorbent than cotton, less bulky and so, so silky soft but are slower to air-dry.
MICROFIBRE NAPPIES are made from polyfleece and are the quick-dry nappies of the washable world. Like a fleece jumper they come out of the washer almost dry. View a more detailed comparison of nappy fabrics here.
